Strawberries and Honey

So what exactly do we do here in France, as we more or less patiently try to find our way to the next leg of our tour?

Well this morning we went for a little practice run, on a stretch of local track I had spotted which looked suitably straight and flat. I ran back and forth 8 times for a total of just over 2 miles, and then gorged on wild strawberries all the way home.

The dog was both puzzled and worn out by our seemingly pointless exertions, and by the end of it threw herself down to recover whilst I hunted for strawberries.

This afternoon we cycled down to the village to top up on groceries and beer. Recovery has to include a little slice of fresh local bread, covered in salty Normandy butter and honey….. Yum!
